I’ve been super inspired recently by wonderful humans on this planet creating magical things on Instagram. My favourite types of Instagram shots and Instagram hashtag projects are mostly moody. Full of shadow, texture, striking silhouettes, layers and bold outlines. It brings me back to my days of a extremely shy girl who used to sit in her bedroom and listen to The Fog by Kate Bush or Hidden Place by Björk on repeat, because of the atmospheric lyrics. Somehow it just seemed so comforting, peaceful and i felt like i was in a magical world of my own all of a sudden.
I’m starting a new Instagram hashtag project #gothictonic for all my love for moody dark shots during the spring/summertime!
Play around with gorgeous silhouettes and shadows that come out to play as soon as you deliberately turn the exposure down. Secret gardens… mysterious alleys and walkways, moody food shots, extreme close ups of brick and texture. Try making up short little stories or sharing your favourite moody song lyrics besides these too.
Would love it if you would join in 🙂 I’m hoping we’ll have a lovely hashtag feed to escape to and be inspired by in a few months time!
Once you’ve captured and edited your picture, upload it to Instagram with the hashtag #gothictonic in the caption, if you can tag me @wutheringbites, even better so i can see it! I hope to regram some of these on my feed very soon.
Have fun with it 🖤🌿
